Barnaba Fornasetti carries on the heritage of one of the most important Italian firms in design and decoration, founded by Piero Fornasetti in the 1940s. Internationally renowned, Fornasetti boasts a loyal following of fans, collectors and enthusiasts. It is synonymous with exceptional craftsmanship that merges refined and talented design, instantly recognisable for its abundance of symbols, allusions, quotations and figures drawn from the imagination. Fornasetti evokes a rich and unmistakable visual language brimming with imagery between dreams, magic and lyrical realism.

Giovanni Bonotto is the creative director of the large family-run textile firm founded in 1912, currently run by its fourth generation. Since 2016, it has been part of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group. A true gem of creativity and productive expertise, the company is now a vertically integrated industry with a complete production cycle, several manufacturing sites and more than two hundred master artisans employed. It promotes a new way of thinking and producing, based on the concept of the ‘Slow Factory’. This modern vision of work and businessis rooted in age-old technologies and creative design, always innovative and driven by a love for contemporary art. The collaboration between these two great creators was marked by an instant understanding of each other’s languages. Barnaba and Giovanni’s stories are strikingly similar: they both advocate for slow design, uncompromising quality that comes before everything else and a world where creativity and dreaming are core philosophies of life and work. They both run businesses in which craftsmanship itself embodies the ethos of living.
