Sara Ricciardi, born in 1989, is originally from Benevento, but lives and works in Milan. She designs products for companies, one-off pieces for art galleries, performances, interiors and installations. Her approach is marked by in-depth narrative exploration, each aesthetic choice originating from a specific story. A versatile designer, she studied between Milan, Istanbul and New York, graduating in Product Design from naba Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in 2015. She is now a professor of Social Design and Digital Design at the same academy. Her colourful, cheerful, ironic, sensual and elegant approach is capable of developing new, empathetic ways of communicating, and projects curated from conception to actual implementation. Each aesthetic choice originates from a specific story. The form follows the message. Her method relies on extensive poetic and formal research. Media and techniques are selected each time with the help of great masters of Italian craftsmanship. With her colourful and engaging taste, she often personally takes care of organising the events to present her creations.
Fabscarte was founded in Milan in 2012 by Luigi Scarabelli and Emilio Brazzolotto along with a group of young craftsmen who gave life to this Milanese brand of artisanal excellence in wallpapers. Fabscarte specialises in hand-painted works on paper characterised by experimentation with techniques and media. The team is constantly inspired by nature and art, blending matter, touch and colour in an original way, to offer a new lexicon for interior design. Fabscarte prides itself on preserving and reinterpreting an illustrious artistic legacy from bygone centuries. The result is an exclusive collection of wallpapers that evoke the rich tapestry of Italian tradition, enlivened by contemporary appeal and aesthetics informed by classical ornamentation.
