Yvonne Brunner and Daniel Zeisner
Breitwieser Natural Stones
Yvonne Brunner is currently studying interior architecture at the NDU in Austria. Before deciding to follow her passion for interior design, she ran a hotel with her husband. She focuses on the human dimension of design, and ardently hopes to open up new horizons in design after her studies. Her mentor is Daniel Zeisner, creative director of the Zeisner Design studio in Vienna. He runs the product design course of the NDU (New Design University). Zeisner Design creates products and interiors for leading international businesses such as Swarovski, Siemens, Villeroy & Boch, Turkish Airlines, Nespresso and Huawei. It has created crystal light fittings, marble furniture, consumer electronics and everyday objects. The studio regularly exhibits its designs at Milan’s Salone del Mobile furniture fair. In 2019, it presented the Zeisner Collection, an extravagant and luxurious limited edition of furnishings with high-quality stones, crafted by artisans in Europe. Daniel Zeisner describes his philosophy as holistic eco-design: it combines exceptional design with sustainability, placing the accent firmly on the needs of users and product trends.
Manfred Breitwieser was born in Austria in 1983, and graduated from the Steintechnikum at HTL Hallein. Since 2005, he has worked for the family business Breitwieser Natural Stones in Tulln (Lower Austria). This is where he created the Stone Gallery, with over 800 different materials and more than 22,000 sheets of natural stone from all over the world: one of Austria’s most complete natural stone exhibitions. The company develops design solutions, prototypes and bespoke products with architects and designers. From 2018 to 2020, Manfred studied corporate management and economics at Krems University of Applied Sciences. His vision is to bring stone, with all its diversity and technical potential, closer to architecture and construction, and to promote its use in the design world.
