Double Signature. A dialogue between design and artisanal excellence

Luce lenta

The work stems from the desire to transform papier-mâché into a textile, luminous structure. Luce Lenta reinterprets the material as a skilful interweaving: a texture that both constructs the form and filters the light it emits. The lamp is conceived as a vertical, suspended and essential presence. The resulting light is soft and carefully modulated. Its name alludes to the slowness of the handmade gesture, of layering and of the artisanal process. It is a reflection on the relationship between light and time, between gesture and design.

“It has been an experience of mutual listening and genuine exchange. The dialogue with Giuseppe Tudisco was concrete and hands-on, yet at the same time deeply human. We observed each other with curiosity, aware that the collaboration would lead us towards new and unexpected territories of experimentation. It was not a matter of applying an idea to a technique, but rather of allowing the technique itself to guide the design choices, opening up possibilities that had not been foreseen at the outset.” (Elisa Ossino)

“Collaborations like this allow us to rethink the role of heritage within contemporary design—not as a reference to the past, but as living matter. Our historic business certainly thrives on tradition, but it has a great need to renew itself and find new ways to develop our know-how.” (Giuseppe Tudisco)
