Double Signature. A dialogue between design and artisanal excellence

Unconventional goblets

Among the wide variety of items turned out by Europe’s glassworks during Baroque times, the artists were particularly fascinated by so-called “calici da scherzo”, humorous wine glasses created to entertain guests at high-society events. This collection is inspired by Palazzo Litta, its legends and its love intrigues. The special goblets conceal fun tricks designed to put lovers to the test. An eclectic combination of romanticism and mystery, the collection was designed for fans of the unconventional, and has been modelled in the form of extravagant heads and mythical monsters, animal-print details and alembic stills, each with a liquid representing the different facets of love. They are playful goblets that are not just glasses for drinks, but also a means of fostering interaction between two people which stimulates the involvement of both.
